lovely countryside feel, excellent homemade starters, accommodating restaurant staff
No wifi access in certain rooms!!! The fire door outside was extremely disruptive at night, definitely taking away from the overall experience!!!

absolutley beautiful setting but the lack of basic amenities like a towel rail and a sink plug was ridiculous. I was really looking forward to some high-quality tea, but it was dreadful, and I couldn't even get another slice of bread. I thought I was getting a complimentary room upgrade, yet nothing was offered. what a disappointment.

Friendly staff and homemade delights
The hotel captured our hearts with its welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, Teddy, the resident dog, greeted us like family, and the homemade dishes were a delicious treat.
Though we enjoyed our stay, the restaurant was quite busy, which led to a slight delay in service during dinner. We also wished for a wider selection at breakfast.

Welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food!
I had a wonderful stay with my family, enjoying the clean rooms and the beautiful old-style decor. After a long day out, we loved that the staff went out of their way to arrange tea and biscuits for us even when the restaurant was closed. The breakfast was top class with individually cooked options that really hit the spot!

There were certain hiccups that couldn't be ignored. The building was locked upon arrival and communications regarding check-in were a bit muddled. Another issue was the lack of basic amenities like a chair at the dresser and a plug for the sink, which made simple tasks a hassle. We also faced a disruption when the fire alarm went off early in the morning, causing a brief evacuation. While the restaurant was bustling and provided excellent meals, we found the service during dinner to be a bit slow due to the crowd.
